FIRST BITE: Jim N Nick’s BBQ, Snellville, Gwinnett

Open on August 9th, I would be in remiss if I failed to mention one of our favorite places, Jim N Nicks BBQ and their new Gwinnett location in Snellville. While we seldom visit, much less promote a chain, Jim N Nicks grew from humble beginnings and we’ve grown fond of the consistency of their food and dine there often, normally at the Conyers or Suwanee locations.

Jim N Nicks BBQ in Snellville, yields no surprises – just good BBQ and warm, friendly service that we’ve come to expect from their other locations. When we’re not up to a drive in-town, Jim N Nicks BBQ makes for a great place for some awesome Q and a great dining experience. Guten appetit!

I was hoping to see more details. I visited them on their first week and was impressed by the service, huge crowd. The sides were great, especially sweet rolls served immediately. My baby back ribs though were so dried out, I should have sent them back. Flavor good, but meat was almost jerky chips. Not sure if it sat under a heat lamp, sure was like a mummy.

We’ve gone into a lots of detail in both a Conyers review and Suwanee review. We found nothing different here. The consistency we mentioned doesn’t apply to the ribs. It’s hot or miss. Yes, sounds like you should have sent those back. Thanks for the comment.
