REVIEW: Versace’s Dominican Restaurant, Lilburn, Gwinnett
Ever since Angel joined the Atlanta Food Critic team, he’s been talking about Versace’s Dominican Restaurant. Although Angel is from Puerto Rico, his wife is Dominican and the Caribbean islands have much in common culturally when it comes to food. Angel tells me that Versace’s is as close to home cooking as he can get in Atlanta. Now, that speaks volumes to me. So when he shot out the idea of going to Versace Dominican Restaurant, I was eager to try it.
Upon entering, you’re presented with a cafeteria-like display from which to choose from. Place your order and they’ll bring it to your table in just a few minutes. Be sure to get one of the Dominican sodas. If you need anything during your meal, just walk up to the counter and ask. You pay for your meal when you leave. I chose a little bit of everything and still tried some of what Angel and his wife got too.

If you’re thinking that all of this might be too spicy, you’re wrong. Its delicious and full of Caribbean flavor. It’s worth the drive to Lilburn to check it out. I think you’ll find that it’s really pretty awesome. Guten appetit!
