REVIEW: Berens Frozen Custard in 360°, Grayson, Gwinnett
It looked more like a July night than a February night in front of Berens Frozen Custard. It was after 9pm and I couldn’t believe how many people were there. Fortunately, the young ladies running the place were efficient and we were soon waited on.
“Is this your first time here?”, she asked. We nodded and off she went explaining that although they offer lots of flavors, they make small batches throughout the day to provide the freshest custard possible. She went on to explain the differences between frozen custard and ice cream. She was a real brand ambassador!
We ended up getting a cup of vanilla with Oreo chips, a Specialty Concrete with vanilla and mixed berries, and a cup of chocolate. To say thick, rich and creamy doesn’t begin to describe just how good this frozen custard is. I’m pretty sure though that the freshness of the ingredients and the fact it was just prepared as we walked in had a whole lot to do with it.
Berens Frozen Custard is awesome and I’ve resolved that we need to make this a regular stop for us. Guten appetit!
