CulinaryLocal Hosts Foodie Happy Hour at Novo Cucina, Dunwoody
Its rare that we even attend foodie gatherings simply because there are so many. Between reviewing and writing, we rarely get any chill time. But this event was different. CulinaryLocal, was hosting this exclusive event for local business owners, prominent food bloggers, and the CulinaryLocal team (whom we were over-the-top impressed with!). While we really wanted to just go home and binge watch Amazon Prime, we were so happy to have attended this event.
CulinaryLocal offers culinary experiences like wine tastings, cooking classes, dinners, food walking tours, and all kinds of foodie related events. They have a very cool website and an amazing amount of events to choose from. You can easily search for things by day of the week, venue, or price, and the registration and purchase process is hassle-free.
Our setting for this networking event was Novo Cucina, which has to be one of the most high-tech places we’ve ever visited. When I arrived, I was handed a card that functions like a temporary credit card. Order a drink, hand the server your card. At the end of the evening, stop at the front desk and settle up with your real credit card. Now, how cool is that? If that impresses you, you really have to try the self-serve wine bar! You just may not want to leave!
Novo Cucina was kind enough to load up a table of appetizers for foodies to devour (and devour we did!). We got a chance to try the Calamari Fritti, which is fried squid with lemon and marinara sauce; Arancini, which is a Sicilian risotto and sausage croquettes; and, of course, delicious samplings of a wide variety of their fresh baked pizzas. Novo Cucina does NOT disappoint and we’ll be back to provide our readers at complete review at a later time (flying under the radar, of course).
While we still shy away often from events such as this, the team at CulinaryLocal and the folks at Novo Cucina made us feel so welcome, we’re already excited about our next happy hour gathering! Guten appetit!
