Easy to Make Snack to Kickoff Your Football Parties

College football started last weekend and the NFL gets started in earnest this weekend. We know you’re always in search of something new and different to thrill and amaze your family and guests when serving food during the game. We’ve got you covered!

After our review of Memphis BBQ Company, we couldn’t finish it all! I was stuck with leftover pulled pork and was wondering “do I just make a sandwich with this?”. I thought to myself – BORING! I decided to try something. I still had some Phickled Jalapeños from our visit to Phickled Phun Foods in Athens. Okay so here’s what you need:

  1. Scoops – You can use just about any nacho chip though. I like Scoops because they make a nice little bowl in which to put meat.
  2. Beef, Pork or Chicken – I used pulled pork but you can just as easily use ground beef or shredded chicken. If you want to go vegetarian, you could use refried beans or use something else that you can dream up.
  3. Jalapeños – Obviously this is optional, but I love to put some kick in a kickoff!
  4. Grated Cheese – I prefer just a bag of shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese. If you really want to get fancy, get some Hoffman’s Sharp Cheddar and grate it yourself for the most awesome cheese you’ll ever experience. It’s our personal favorite!

I take my favorite wing sauce and then mix it in with the meat. Pop it into the microwave for about 45 seconds and stir again. Take a spoon and put a spoonful of meat into each scoop. Place a Phickled Jalapeño on top and then cover the whole plate with grated cheese. Heat for 45 seconds or until the cheese is melted to your liking and serve! Guten appetit!
