Doc Green’s Gourmet Salads & Grill, Lawrenceville GA

We were a little skeptical of Doc Green’s as every time that we’d been by there it seems as if no one is there. We are pleased to report though that there is much to discover there!

As many others are trying to eat healthier this new year, so are we. Snowpocalypse was coming and we were craving one more meal out before the quarantine and we would soon be cut off from the outside world for who knows how long.

It’s always a little intimidating visiting a restaurant for the first time but especially so when it is a “walk up and order” place because you just stand there looking dumb while you read the menu board for a while trying to figure out what looks good.

We opted for soup and salad while our younger guest chose a chicken Panini and salad. The line cooks were very accommodating with our requests and the staff in general was quite friendly. Once you select your items and dressing, they swirl it around it a large mixing bowl and serve it. The result is a well mixed salad that never suffers the chance of drowning in too much salad dressing.

The cheddar broccoli soup we had was quite delicious and our guest enjoyed her chicken Panini.

We enjoyed our meal very much at Doc Green’s and will be returning frequently! Guten appetit!
