Atlanta Restaurant Reviews

Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q, Atlanta GA

It was a frigid Sunday afternoon when we chose to check out Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q but they made it HOT!

When we called ahead, they said there wasn’t a wait but, an hour can make one heck of a difference! We only had a short IMAG1297wait but parking is limited. I ended up dropping Melanie off and parking on the street.

For starters, we chose the half and half. With the generous portions it should be named a full and full! I selected the fried jalapenos and Melanie went with the fried pickles. YUMMY!

Melanie first chose the smoked wings but had to send them back (too hot for her) but they made it right bringing her some wings sans sauce. I wanted to try the pulled pork. Our server was great (sorry, I didn’t catch her name). She was honest when asked about the potato salad wasn’t her favorite side item. Melanie took that as a challenge but soon agreed with her. She didn’t care much for the baked beans either (still a little to spicy for her liking) but I thought they were pretty darn good.

The pulled pork entered the category where no BBQ sauce is needed – in fact, it’d be a crime to cover this flavor with sauce. The Brunswick Stew was also near perfect. It’s as close as I can recall ever coming close to Melanie’s homemade Brunswick Stew but this was very, very good. One very nice surprise was the Spicy Green Beans. Really nice with just the right amount of kick without being obnoxious.

It’s no wonder Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q is a hit. They knocked it out of the park on BBQ! Definitely a MUST SEE on your list of Atlanta dining. Guten appetit!

I think it’s interesting that you do restaurant reviews in Atlanta. Doesn’t seem like there is enough food bloggers in Atlanta. Your reviews would be more helpful if you would talk more about the food specifically, more analysis. We gather that you pretty much like everywhere you eat, just need more actual details other than parking or that it was really good. Keep rocking
