Wahoo! A Decatur Grill, Decatur, GA

IMAG1193We arrived at Wahoo! A Decatur Grill very early on a brisk Saturday evening. We made a reservation, although none was required that early. By the end of the meal though, the restaurant was full so I suggest if you are dining after 7pm you should certainly call ahead.

Our server was Michael and he was very friendly, as was all of the staff, and he took excellent care of us during our meal.

IMAG1196We decided to begin with the crab cakes for our appetizer and they were delicious. The remoulade sauce accompanying it is served on the side. Melanie was happy about that! I used it liberally and it was a perfect compliment.

 

Melanie wanted a salad and I was intrigued by the Fisherman’s Stew. She liked the raspberry vinaigrette dressing and I really enjoyed the rich, spicy tomato broth of the stew.

One thing very nice about Wahoo! A Decatur Grill was that we were able to dine instead of eat. We had plenty of time to enjoy each course and Michael made sure that our beverages were refreshed at all times.

Melanie chose the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine which I happy to say she loved and was unable to finish with it’s healthy portion size. I chose the Charleston Shrimp & Grits and it was quite good and surprisingly filling.

I had spotted some sides that I wanted to try as well… the asparagus and crispy potato cakes. The potato cakes were not what I had envisioned but fantastically delicious none the same. The asparagus was very well-prepared and neither tough nor mushy.

We had really wanted to stay for dessert but we had other plans for later which prevented this. Wahoo! A Decatur Grill  was MOST enjoyable and we had a lovely meal and it was simple a superb dining experience. We must recommend Wahoo! A Decatur Grill  as a MUST SEE on your list of Atlanta fine dining. Guten appetite!
