ROAD TRIP: Keke’s Breakfast Café, orlando, FL

Don’t let the fact that this restaurant is in a strip mall in front of a mall fool you – THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! We had stopped for the night in Orlando so I made a quick visit to Urbanspoon looking for a breakfast place that was close and guess where it sent us?

First and foremost, the service is beyond belief! You know how Grandma dotes on you when you come visit and eat at her house? It’s on THAT level!

I was concerned that this place was going to be sheer mayhem on a Sunday morning, but the team at Keke’s Breakfast Café kept chaos under control and it helped that there were plenty of helpful staff members. I also should add that the two brothers that run the place, roam around and talk to their customers and generally run the place like a German train station. You want for nothing!

Melanie ordered an omelet and I ordered 2 pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs with cheddar, four sausage links and home fries. And I know what you’re thinking… and the answer is NO. Neither one of us could finish our meals (although I did come close to eating half of the pancakes.

I simply cannot describe how good this food was because words have yet to developed which describe how good it was. Having just reviewed Flying Biscuit Café just last week, I have to say I’d like to see these two face off in a breakfast-to-the-death contest for Atlanta foodies.

When in Orlando, you MUST, MUST, MUST eat breakfast at Keke’s Breakfast Café! Guten appetit!
