Atlanta Restaurant Reviews

Café Milano, Conyers, Rockdale

We’d been wanting to try this place for a while and I certainly wasn’t up for driving in town that night so, Café Milano suddenly came to the top of the list.

Although we had arrived just after 7pm, we were seated within five minutes even though the restaurant was at full capacity. Our server, Mark, greeted us and we had drinks in minutes. Mark was a true professional and took excellent care of us throughout the meal.

We started with some mozzarella sticks. They weren’t homemade and they were served lukewarm, but we expected them to be HOT! Ditto on the bread they served as well.

I ordered the Caesar salad (since they had no thousand island or any other sort of “normal” dressing) and Melanie had the House salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette. We both thought the salads were plentiful and well-prepared.

For the main course, Melanie chose the Lasagna with meat sauce and I ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Milano. I also asked that it be covered with cheese and baked. Melanie though that the lasagna was good and a sizeable portion. I was stunned by my meal. The shrimp and lobsters chunks were plentiful. The creamy lobster sauce was really quite charming! I was sure when I started there was NO WAY I could eat the whole thing but, guess what? I did and it was awesome.

Café Milano is a good choice for Italian food – great taste, sizeable portions and excellent service make for a great meal. Guten appetit!

Disclosure: The owner of this restaurant is Melanie’s cousin but this opinions expressed are strictly our own. This meal was paid for with our own money and the staff at the restaurant had no idea of our relation to the owner.
