Atlanta-Food-Critic.com Launches Mobile-Ready website

M_Id_138240_techAtlanta, Georgia—October 29, 2010 Atlanta-Food-Critic.com launched it’s mobile-ready version of it’s website today to better serve the growing population of readers who access their blog via mobile devices. Now users with an iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry, or almost any other type of internet-enabled mobile device can browse the website in an environment specifically designed for mobile.

“People are out and about and need ready access to Atlanta restaurant reviews”, says Randy Cooper one of the founders of Atlanta-Food-Critic.com, “and they expect content to be delivered in a format that’s compatible with whatever device they happen to be using to access our site”. Additionally, Atlanta-Food-Critic.com, recently began using QR codes to provide easy navigation to restaurants for smartphone users. “Mobile devices are now an integral part of our lives”, says Cooper, “and web content providers need to be forward thinking in order to provide for mobile users needs”.

The website senses whether the visitor is using a mobile device and automatically switches to that format. Additionally, the user may opt to view the site as a standard web page allowing mobile users to continue to be able to view the traditional website. By using this type of technology, a different URL is not required and mobile users can simply point their browser to http://atlanta-food-critic.com to experience the site’s mobile version.
