You won’t have any trouble finding Atlanta Fish Market – just look for the big fish in Buckhead– DUH!

We felt pampered immediately when we drove up to the valet parking – so nice not to have to worry about parking!

Although we had made reservations for 6:15 (RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED), we arrived early and asked to be seated. Fortunately, we were early enough where that wasn’t a problem and we were shown right to our table.

Lauren, our server, greeted us and took ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC care of us throughout the meal. In fact, we were showered with service by the entire staff without being intrusive to our dining experience. Lauren answered all of our menu questions competently and professionally and submitted our orders to the kitchen exactly as we had discussed.

We skipped an appetizer and decided on salads instead. I asked for Thousand Island but they were out (fresh made dressings? What a pleasant rarity!) so I decided on a Caesar salad. I dare say it was the best I’d ever eaten. Melanie, ever the picky eater, found onions on hers when it arrived. Normally it’s a plus for me because I am an onion lover but didn’t care for them that night. She also wasn’t crazy for the bleu cheese dressing and opted for ranch instead.

I chose the Mahi Mahi blackened and Melanie selected the cedar plank smoked salmon. Melanie opted for the mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus while I decided on mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach.

Let me assure you, dear readers, our meal was BEYOND EXQUISITE! Full of flavor and prepared precisely to our liking we enjoyed a meal fit for royalty and we were treated as such during our entire visit.

Atlanta Fish Market doesn’t come cheap. Our meal for two with gratuity was just over $100 plus gratuity for the valet, you end up laying down a pretty good hunk of change for a meal here. BUT, we believe that it was totally worth it and represented a good value for the money.

Our evening can be summed up by Melanie’s comment upon leaving – “I think I’ve found a new favorite place!”. Atlanta Fish Market  certainly merits a MUST SEE on our list of Atlanta dining. Guten appetit!
