Cow Tippers, Ansley Park, Atlanta GA
We’ve been hearing about Cow Tippers for some time and have been meaning to make our way to it’s trendy Midtown location to check it out. We had high hopes for Cow Tippers and we were not disappointed.
Sunday afternoons are a great time to catch a quick lunch at Cow Tippers as it is not crowded except for a smattering of locals. We were greeted promptly, seated right away and had our drinks within minutes. Our server, Michael, was excellent tending to our every need throughout the meal.
We started with the fried pickles as our appetizer. Talk about yummy! Lightly breaded, it was full of flavor. It came with a Southwestern ranch and we got a regular ranch for Melanie. We both had salads but Melanie didn’t particularly care for the bleu cheese. I thought the thousand island was quite tasty.
The sirloin was cooked to perfection! The gravy on the mashed potatoes kicked it off just wonderfully.
Melanie’s burger was ordered well done but was not burned and cooked exactly to her liking and the taste was very good. She subbed a fruit cup for the fries and found they were very nice and ripe (far too often this is not the case).
I had almost thought that our cover was blown when the manager came over to speak with us. She was very pleasant and we had a nice, casual conversation.
We have to say that Cow Tippers is a MUST SEE on our list of Atlanta dining and we look forward to visiting the other restaurants they own.
