Zaxby’s Lawrenceville GA (Discover Mills)

This is one of my favorite spots, primarily due to it’s location. It just happens to be right on the way to Gwinnett Tech so when I’m on my way to class I stop there (far too often).

Normally, I have the Zax Snack Meal. Which, for those of you who are loyal Zaxby customers, know that means three pieces of fried chicken tenders, a small portion of fries and a drink. Hey, one thing I’ll admit to – Zaxby’s ain’t cheap! However, the food quality is consistently good and therefore provides a good value.

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve made a valid attempt to eliminate fried foods, carbs (potatoes, rice, bread) and sugars from my diet. Which brings us to the Zaxby salad offerings – GOOD STUFF!

I chose the Blue with Buffaloed chicken pieces. WARNING: If you don’t like hot (spicy) stuff – THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! The Blue features blue chees crumbles in generous portions and blue cheese dressing. Throw in some cucumbers and tomatoes – MAN, I have to tell you it was pretty awesome! The Buffaloed chicken was HOT and my mouth was still on fire as I was getting in the car.

So, if you have started the new year and are looking for great salads – give Zaxby’s a try!
